Engagement Photography

Engagement sessions are a perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other before your wedding. These photos are meant to be a glimpse of this new chapter you are about to embark as a couple.

My goal is for your engagement session to feel like a fun part of your story, not another thing you have to worry about getting “right.” I want you to be able to relax, enjoy being together, and let your personalities come through naturally while I capture the moments in between the poses. I’m a Minnesota engagement photographer based in Monticello, serving couples throughout Central Minnesota and the Twin Cities, including St. Cloud, Buffalo, Big Lake, Maple Grove, Minneapolis and surrounding communities. Whether you have a favorite place that already means something to you or you’re looking for the perfect location for your session, I’ll help you create an engagement session that feels personal and true to you.

What to Expect During Your Session

Not everyone feels comfortable in front of a camera, and that’s completely okay! I’ll guide you through your session with simple direction while leaving plenty of room for genuine interaction, laughter, movement, and those little moments that happen naturally between the two of you.

My goal is to create a relaxed experience where you can focus on each other instead of wondering what to do with your hands or how to pose. We’ll capture a mix of beautiful portraits and candid moments that tell the story of your relationship.

Your engagement photos can also be a great opportunity to get comfortable in front of my camera before your wedding day. By the time your wedding arrives, you’ll already know what to expect and I’ll already know how you naturally interact together.

Engagement Photos That Feel Like You

I believe your engagement photos should look and feel like you. Maybe that means walking through a favorite park, exploring a meaningful location, laughing together on your family property, bringing along your dog, or simply enjoying an evening together somewhere beautiful. Your session doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s, and it shouldn’t.

I focus on natural connection, genuine emotion, and the little details that make your relationship yours. My goal is to give you images that you’ll love looking back on years from now because they remind you exactly what this season felt like.
